Zomato started off their Gold subscription almost 6 months ago that offers up users either 1 + 1 on food or 2 + 2 on drinks at select restaurants which is valid during all working hours. As such, it’s no surprise that the demand for a Zomato Gold subscription has soared.
Since the demand has gotten a bit out of hand, Zomato is all set to make the Gold subscription invite only starting this month. According to a blog post, CEO Deepinder Goyal said, “We are making Zomato Gold more exclusive and post 27th April, it will be available by invite only. We are enhancing the value of Zomato Gold and making it bigger and better.
We are going to be upgrading our Gold experiences and will be hosting a number of premium events exclusively for Gold members. We are also working on welcoming Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai to Gold and towards adding more benefits to the Gold program for our members.”
With over 200,000 customers across 5 cities having subscribed to the program, Zomato Gold currently forms about 12% of Zomato’s revenues covering about 2,300 restaurants under the program.
So, if you haven’t jumped on the Zomato Gold bandwagon, your last chance to get Gold benefits is on April 27th. So mark your calendars because it certainly does have some perks!
