The Zomato app logged consumers out and many complaints of incomplete orders grew as the ‘No Cooking Sunday’ progressed. Available yesterday, the offer made by the food delivery was of a 50 percent discount on food orders in various cities of India but unfortunately left many customers unhappy.

“We are quite overwhelmed with the positive response, it has significantly exceeded expectations,” Mohit Gupta, CEO – Food Delivery Business, Zomato told the Economic Times. “We have comfortably crossed the million order milestone today – and would have ended up at close to a 2.5 million mark had we not seen the outage. While the extraordinary volumes may have delayed our responses, we are committed to resolving all customer queries to their satisfaction and will resolve all queries this time around as well.”
Zomato customers however weren’t too thrilled as the delivery services faced major technical glitches post 3pm yesterday. The complaints came pouring in on the twitter account of Zomato with various problems like completion of deliver although food hadn’t arrived, being logged out of the app, order being confirmed but not being delivered, delayed orders and so on.
