Yuvraj Singh Becomes Investor & Brand Ambassador For EazyDiner

on

After creating quite an impression after his 300th ODI at the recent Champion Trophy, Yuvraj Singh has some more news for all of us. The star cricketer has been signed on as the brand ambassador of restaurant reservation and booking app EazyDiner.

In addition to being the face of the app, Yuvraj will also be playing a major role as the platform’s new investor, and will pour in an undisclosed amount in the venture via his venture capital fund YouWeCan, and will also receive stock options in return, reports Economic Times.

According to sources, although the deal was signed between Singh and EazyDiner before the all-rounder left for the Champion’s Trophy, the news was made public only last week, ahead of the tournament’s final match between India and Pakistan.

With 53,000 standalones, hotels, and restaurants such as Farzi Café, The Indian Accent, Marriott, and The Oberoi Group listed on its platform, EazyDiner is currently present in eight Indian cities as well as Dubai and has been looking to expand its presence in the South Asian market. The app has further recorded a steady growth with monthly subscriptions touching almost 1.5 million.

Notably, this isn’t Yuvraj Singh’s first stint in the investor’s arena. The cricketer has previously invested in American burger chain Carl’s Jr.
