If you’re still crazy obsessed about Pokémon Go, then Starbucks is clearly the only place you need to be hanging out. Pokémon trainers can now get their hands on a special-edition Starbucks Frappucino while they take a break from the long and exhausting process of tracking down the perfect catch of the day. Starbucks has teamed up with Pokémon Go to transform the storefronts into Pokéstops and Gyms.
Launched across 7,800 Starbucks stores yesterday, trainers can now come hang out, take a break and relax or catch up with Pokémon trainers and fans. All it takes is for the player to locate the store within the app and unlock the drink. The purple drink is a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino which is blended with raspberry syrup and freeze-dried whole blackberries and topped off with whipped cream.
A press release from Pokémon Go stated that Starbucks was a great option because of company’s dedication for “spaces for social interaction and real-world community building in its extensive network of locations. We appreciate their role in creating safe, welcoming locations for people from all walks of life to come together for refreshment and social engagement.”
There has already been tons of food inspired by Pokémon Go since the game was launched this year and it’s only going to get bigger. While the craze might have died out a little, there have been the launch of Pokémon burgers and a Pokémon cookbook and even Zombie Pikachu Burgers and so much more!
