According to a report in the Economic Times, McDonald’s India is planning to get a lot more local with its breakfast options. These will include masala dosa burgers with molaga podi sauce and anda bhurji.
Bringing Indian Cuisine Into The McDonald’s Format
“We continue to look at inspiration from Indian cuisine and bring it as a McDonald’s format which will give you flavours from the west but the familiarity of Indian,“ said Amit Jatia, vice-chairman of Westlife Development, the Master franchisee for Mcodnald’s in the West and the South to the Economic Times.
Along with Indian inspired eats, the new breakfast menu will offer corn and hash brown brioches, plain and masala scrambled eggs, waffles and hot cakes. At present, McDonald’s serves McMuffins and hash browns for breakfast.
The new menu will be launched this weekend in Mumbai and then rolled out across McDonald’s outlets in West and South India.
