Celebrating World Pear Day on Saturday, 1st of December, USA Pears had organised sampling sessions in Mumbai and Delhi. Through this sampling, people could try and buy pears from the brand as well as through games, contests and even online. The participants were also encouraged to participate and engage with social media by using the hashtag #WorldPearDay. These sampling sessions were conducted in the two cities by Pear Northwest Bureau.

According to a press release by the brand, the activities conducted in major cities of India were quite successful. On the occasion, Spencer’s Hyper Store in Gurgaon was launched by Ms. Jeanne F. Bailey, Minister Counselor for Agricultural Affairs, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Embassy. Here too, sampling sessions were conducted all through the day. The customers got to be the part of this session that began in New Zealand and concluded in the USA.
