We’re Going Gaga Over Radisson Blu MBD’s Epic Dim Sum Festival In Noida

on

The Capital’s soaring temperature may not have left us with many options to wander out in the markets, and it’s only May. Basically, venturing out of the cool premises of your home or office – to eat, shop, or even just roam around – would be a bad idea for the next few weeks. But that’s okay, because Radisson Blu MBD Hotel, Noida has got all your dining out desires covered with an amazing dim sum festival at its award-winning oriental restaurant R.E.D (Rare Eastern Dining).

Christened ‘It’s Dim Sum Time’, Radisson’s dumpling extravaganza will have on offer twelve varieties of authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dumplings specially crafted by head chef Raymond Sim.

What’s On The Menu?

On the special menu are six vegetarian and six non-vegetarian dishes each, in addition to two desserts and a whole lot of jasmine tea and drool-worthy condiments. The vegetarians can gorge on a sea of options including vegetable spring roll with sweet chilli dip, black mushroom and pokchoy dumpling, fried vegetable wonton, glass noodle dumpling, vegetable sui-mai, and a vegetable bao. The fried and steamed dumplings can be paired with a bowl of wholesome vegetable noodle soup and follow it up with a scoop of ice cream topped with chocolate sticks. All this for a supremely reasonable price of just INR 1,000 (plus taxes).

Meanwhile, the meat-eaters get to binge on an equally varied roster of dumplings that includes chicken spring roll with sweet chilli dip, fried chicken wonton, seafood sui-mai, chicken bao, lamb dumpling, and chicken dumpling. A chicken-laden version of the traditional noodle soup follows this. To finish up, non-vegetarians (or even eggetarians) can choose from two desserts – ice cream with a chocolate stick and a slice of warm mud cake with vanilla ice cream. The non-veg menu costs a reasonable INR 1,200 (plus taxes).

Noodle Soup

We had the sweet – and uber fulfilling – opportunity to try out the non-veg menu, and let’s just say we went home with a huge smile plastered across our face! The dumplings were big on the filling (and who doesn’t love that) and low on excessive maida that goes into making the wrappers, while the spring rolls and wontons featured just the right amount of crunch. The chicken, mushrooms, fried onions, and vegetables-rich noodle soup, on the other hand, was a great preparation to balance out our lunch.

Ice Cream with Chocolate Sticks

A special shout out to the condiments that added just the right amount of sweet and spice to our food. We finished off with a scoop of good ol’ vanilla ice cream and chocolate sticks, which were actually crunchy chocolate Munchinis we’ve all devoured as kids.

The festival is scheduled to be on all through May, so do yourself a favour and treat yourself to the Carlson Group’s top-notch hospitality and Chef Sim’s epic dumpling banquet at R.E.D., Radisson Blu MBD Hotel, Noida.
