Recently, the Sheraton Grand Hotel at Brigade Gateway partnered up with Brigade Hospitality to open up The World Cafe at the iconic World Trade Center. One of the first things that you notice about the open space is the elegant chrome and glass, and, of course, the enormous map of the world on the exteriors!
We loved the teal and gold interiors which added a bistro-like feel to the cafe, and definitely gave us the vibe of a place you can go to if you’re looking to relax and unwind a bit. We noticed that all the items on the menu (except the desserts, of course) were extremely light and healthy – from the sushi to the sandwiches and were curious to try out the salads (that are made fresh, and on the spot).
We set our eye on the Rocket with Peaches, Peppers, Onion and Balsamic Vinaigrette and it didn’t disappoint with the lovely acidity of the vinaigrette cutting through the sweetness of the peaches and making for a filling choice! If you’re a coffee lover, you’ll enjoy the wide selection of single origin coffee available! They even have Civet Coffee on the menu (infamously known for how its produced)!
While we attempted to decide on a dessert we enjoyed sipping on a rich hot chocolate (which comes in three options, in case you have any allergies) and finally decided to get our cheat day on with a scrumptious Chocolate Truffle Cake! If you’re looking to get away from the rush of things and enjoy a healthy bite or a long coffee break then The World Cafe is the place for you!
