Try This At Home: Desserts That Use 5 Ingredients Or Less
Very often, the reason lots of people don’t make dessert at home is that they’re afraid there’s too many ingredients and the measurements are going to be all wonky and it won’t turn out like that picture on Pinterest. But here’s the magical thing about desserts, nobody can make the dessert look the way they do on Pinterest. The important thing is that it tastes good and you’re happy with it. So to make dessert easier and simpler to make, here are some popular desserts that can be made with five ingredients of less. No kidding, it’s definitely going to blow your mind once you take a look at these.
Some of them might still seem daunting, but it’s not. Don’t think about it too much, just take a deep breath and go for it. Ready? Take that deep breath and…. here we go!
Oreo Cheesecake Truffles
Ingredients: Oreo cookies, cream cheese, chocolate
Crumble the Oreo cookies in a bag, then mix the crumbs with cream cheese till it’s smooth and nicely mixed. Roll the mixture into tiny balls and set on a baking tray. Melt the chocolate till smooth and then toss the truffles into the pan and coat thoroughly and then sprinkle some extra crumbs over it and stick it in the fridge till firm.
Ingredients: Flour, sugar, melted butter, eggs, cocoa powder.
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar and cocoa powder. In a second bowl, whisk the butter and eggs together, then pour this into the flour mixture and stir till combined. Empty the whole thing into a pan and bake for 25-35 minutes and you’re done.
Ingredients: condensed milk and chocolate chips
Empty the condensed milk into a bowl and add the chocolate chips and mix it together. Stick the bowl in the microwave and then mix it up till the chocolate is nicely melted. Line a tray with the fudge and Stick it in the freezer for a few hours and then serve.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients: creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, egg, baking soda and chocolate chips
Mix everything together and when nicely blended, add in the chocolate chips. Then make little balls out of the dough and place on a tray. Stick it in the oven for a few minutes and bam. Done.
Single Serve Chocolate Cake
Ingredients: egg, cocoa powder, sour cream, sugar, baking powder
Cake for one, coming right up! Mix all these ingredients together, stick it in a bowl in the microwave for a minute or a little more, till the top middle is still a little wet and then serve.
Mango Ice Cream
Ingredients: 2 mangoes, condensed milk, fresh cream
Beat the mangoes to a pulp, pour in the condensed milk and blend together. Then beat the cream and add the mango mixture. Mix it all nicely together and stick it in the freezer. Check out our video to see how it all turned out.
Ingredients: Water and chocolate
Pour water into the chocolate, or you can heat up the water and pour it over the chocolate, then mix it nicely and transfer it to an ice bath and whisk right away till it becomes thick and then you’re ready to serve. Or watch our video to get a better idea!
Flourless Chocolate Cake
Ingredients: Dark chocolate, butter, sugar, 6 eggs, cocoa powder.
Melt the chocolate, add in the sugar and whisk together, add the eggs in one at a time and whisk it up. Sift the cocoa powder into the mixture and continue whisking. Pour into a lined tray, bake till there’s a thin crust formed on the top and then you’re done.
Triple Fudge Brownie
Ingredients: instant chocolate pudding mix, milk, chocolate cake mix, chocolate chips and sugar.
Mix all the box ingredients as per instructions, then mix them together, add in the chocolate chips and bake. The sugar is just for dusting and not for the recipe itself. And there you have it: a triple fudge brownie.
Peanut Butter Cups
Ingredients: Powdered sugar, peanut butter and chocolate
Mix the peanut butter and sugar together till smooth, then melt the chocolate and pour a little bit into the bottom of your cupcake tray. Then add the peanut butter and finally add another layer of chocolate. Refrigerate for an hour or so and remove from the liners.
