In early days, the main ingredients were pomegranate seeds long with raisins and pine nut. However, today the modern ideas of honey and spices are being mixed with the old-fashioned way to preserve the cake history. - For Cake mixture
- 2 cup white sugar
- 6 tablespoon water
- 4 egg whites
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- For Fruit Mixture
- ½ cup water
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 Can(400gm) sweetened condensed milk
- ¾ cup sliced peaches
- 2 cups whipped cream
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
- ¾ cup sliced strawberries
- ½ corn tablespoon cornstarch
After collecting all the required items follow the below steps:
Steps 1: Preheat the oven at 176°C. On the other side take a 10 inch round cake pan and pour a layer of flour into it.
Step 2: Bring a metal bowl to mix water and egg whites into it. Using the bowl’s soft peak, whip the egg whites into it. Continue this process on medium speed by gradually adding sugar into it and also make sure you are adding one egg yolk at a time. Now mix flour and baking powder, once completed pour this mixture into the cake pan with the help of a batter.
Step 3: Keep this cake pan in preheated oven for the next 30-35 minutes. After taking out, cool it down for the next 10 minutes.
Step 4: After completing the cake work, the next work starts with preparing the fruit mixture. At first, bring a small bowl and start to dissolve the cornstarch by adding water to it.
Step 5: In another saucepan, beat the egg remaining egg yolks and sweetened milk together. One mixed well, boil this on a medium heat and stir consistently. Now bring the cornstarch mixture and combine it with this egg-milk mixture. After 5 minutes, the filling will slowly change into thick, at this time you need to turn off the heat and let it cool.
Step 6: Bring all the rest fruits and mix them together in a medium bowl. Also, bring a bread knife and horizontally slice the cooked cake into half. In the bottom half, spread the mixed fruit and you can also pour berry juice to moisten the cake. Bring the cream combination (step 5) and spread this on the top of each fruit. Now top this with the other half of the bake cake and frost this with the remaining cream.
