Further report says a company based in Bethlehem called Just Born is responsible for the invention of the larger-than-life peep. The town has named the event ‘PeepsFest’ and it takes place on the 30th and 31st December each year. On New Year’s Eve, the peep is dropped at 5:15 PM and is followed by fireworks.
Fox News reports that this 400-pound peep is made out of fiberglass instead of sugar making it inedible. Watch below the video of the peep drop in Bethlehem last year. If all this peep talk is making you hungry, here’s a peep cake recipe that you can try!
