This Is Not A Drill, You Can Now Own KFC’s American Mustard & Sweet Chili Lip Balm

So, a few days ago fast food chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken, a.k.a. KFC announced that it would be making its first foray into personal care and cosmetics with the launch of its flavored lip balms. Now, we know this was announced back in late March, so why are we telling you now? Well because we figured it was just one of the many April Fool’s build up that was doing the rounds on social media and the Internet. But it’s 4th April today and the lip balms are legit for sale online, so clearly it’s not a joke.

That’s right, there now exist KFC lip balms that you can buy and use. I am shaking my head in disbelief as I type this out because the fried chicken giant has actually launched a lip balm, christened Double Trouble, which comes in a compact case and features two ultra savory and borderline berserk flavors – yellow American mustard and sweet chili.

Commenting on the launch, Lluis Ruiz Ribot, CMO, KFC India, said, “We have always had fun experimenting with our food and introducing unique flavors. This time while working on new flavors, our chefs came up with this distinct combo that was so unique and irresistible that we named it the Double Trouble.”

This is not the first time that KFC has launched a food-inspired lifestyle product. Back in 2017, the fast-food chain introduced fried chicken smelling bath bombs and before that in 2016, it launched a scented candle that smelled like the chain’s signature blend of herbs and spices.

“We decided to have some fun and make this amazing flavor combination available to consumers in a portable lip balm format. These ‘Double Trouble’ balms are so ‘lip smackin’ good’ that consumers will find themselves reaching for it again and again”, Ruiz Ribot added. *Secretly praying for a fried chicken flavored lip balm*

According to reports, these lip balms will be available for purchase only until 5th April. We’ve ordered ours, and so can you. Click here to purchase your very own KFC Double Trouble Lip Balm. And unless you get a box that says “Haha! Fooled you!” enjoy the savory lip care!
