This Brewery Is Now Making Beer For Man’s Best Friend!

on

There’s nothing better than kicking back and having a couple of beers with your best friend. You’re entitled to that, even if your best friend is a dog. We think that was Indianapolis based Flat 12 Bierwerks’ logic, because they’ve created a brew that is just for dogs.

The beer is premiering today at Heaven and Hell Rescue Shelter’s pet adoption drive. The cost for a bowl will be $1, with all proceeds going to animal shelters. The beer will then be available on tap from Smoking Goose, a restaurant in the area.

“I think every employee here owns a dog,” said the brewery’s marketing director Valerie Green. “We are all very dog-friendly.” Naturally then, the beer contains no alcohol and no carbonation. It is made using meat bones and scraps donated by the Smoking Goose. The stock from these scraps is boiled for three hours and then blended with wort from the beer brewing process.

Employees at the company have been testing the brew on both themselves and the dogs, and say that it tastes like soup broth. We’re sure the dogs will be pretty pleased with that!
