The Secret Behind Aditya Roy Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ & Fine Body

on

This week social media saw a beautiful red head, an elegant begum and a ripped set of muscles set fire to our screens. Yes, I am indeed talking about the much talked about Tabu, Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer Fitoor. And if you haven’t seen the trailer, do it now! Oh and by the way, totally judging you.

The only thing that caught every giggly girl’s eye was, of course, yet another Kapoor’s hot bod. Sorry for the totally obvious drool stains all over but hey you’ve got to agree that the youngest Roy Kapoor has aced the oomph factor. Here’s how he did it.

Beyond Abs

Aditya Roy Kapoor is taking his workout regime beyond the six and eight-pack rage. For Fitoor, the actor opted for body sculpting, which is a technique used to perfectly shape the body muscles without bulking up.

It is without a doubt an exhausting process for which Aditya first worked towards losing muscle mass and then reduced his body fat to an incredible 7%. To give you a better perspective, according to the American Council on Exercise, male athletes typically range from 6% to 13% body fat.

Keeping up with the regime

Kapoor of course had a super busy schedule travelling and filming so working out regularly went slightly out of the window. But the actor instantly regrets his inconsistency.

“I have been following this regime on and off for a year-and-a-half now. After filming some sequences, I let go a little bit and I had to lose weight all over again, which was quite frustrating. So I’ve learnt that this lifestyle has to be consistent.”

Quick Tips

Win some, lose some is an inevitable tag that comes along with everything. Even workout regimes and Aditya Roy Kapoor agrees. He confesses to the yays and nays of his training schedule and says, “Drink lots of water, get enough fibre and carbs as well, as they are important.

“Avoid becoming too extreme with any diet, it can really end up harming your system and immunity. Also, one cheat meal is fine but keep it at one because if you do another then it’s a slippery slope.”

The movie is slated for a February 12 release, so what does the stunner’s regime have in store after that? “I don’t plan on maintaining that low body fat. I love food and can’t completely stay away from the good stuff so I will try and keep myself 15-20 days away from being at my optimum.”

Oh, so he is human after all!
