The Bombay Cartel Is The Newest, Sassiest Bar In Mumbai Which You Shouldn’t Miss Out On

on

South Mumbai is buzzing with excitement as yet another resto-bar opens up in one of the poshest areas of the city. The Bombay Cartel at Breach Candy has a vibe that suits a gentlemen’s night out and can just as easily be a weekend dinner party hub. From lip smacking cocktails to the latest, foot tapping music provided by the DJ, this snazzy new bar has a lot to offer.

Spicy Bombay Appetizers

The Bombay Cartel has taken care of pretty much everything a person looks for in a good bar. They’ve even got their food game strong with fiery appetizers which are perfect for a true-blue Bombay-ite. The Mumbai Meri Jaan platter features Pani Puri shots with that perfect spicy-tangy water; Vada Pav with a super-awesome batata wada which simply won our heart; Pav Bhaji tostadas topped with cheese and a Sukha Bhel. Perfect chakna tray for four.

Next on their fiery menu was the Peek-Aa-Loo which are baked potatoes stuffed with raw, finely chopped onion, tomato, corn kernels doused in fiery chutney and topped with sev and pomegranate seeds. In short a refined and a delightful version of the popular Aloo Bomb found in the city. These are not to be missed.

Park Your Bottle

We tried the Burning Sour at The Bombay Cartel with some Nacho Nacho. Their version of whiskey sour has smoked cinnamon served with a flamed spirit and it was oh-so-awesome. Paired with tortilla chips doused with melted cheddar, sour cream, guacamole and salsa, we were in cocktail heaven. While we enjoyed our drink, we were told that we can park our bottle here which means we can buy a bottle of any spirit, drink as much as we want, park it and come back and finish it. The bottle is parked for two months during which you can have it, plus it’s also fun to plan a party with a parked bottle or surprising a friend who will have a bottle waiting for them when they arrive. So park your bottle and get playful with the idea.

Mains And Dessert

We absolutely loved the vibe at The Bombay Cartel as well as the vivacious music. We stayed on for dinner and ordered a luscious Spaghetti Alfredo. Absolutely delicious and a treat for all pasta lovers. Delicate, creamy flavours and here’s the best part – not overloaded with cream or cheese and no added heaviness, just the right amount. Brilliant service and excellent cooking.

We also enjoyed a sumptuous Chocolate Fondue at the end of our meal and it was served with brownie, apple pieces and banana slices. This was the best way to end the lovely meal here at The Bombay Cartel and we highly recommend this place that ticks all the right boxes when it comes to food, drinks and an excellent hangout.
