Teabox Unveils TeaPacs, A Brand New On-The-Go Option For Tea Drinkers

on

Teabox is a global direct-to-consumer tea company based in Bengaluru and the company has just launched TeaPacs, the first individually packaged tea bags sealed at the source using a natural nitrogen flush. This is the latest addition to the brands line of tea which allows tea drinkers to enjoy Teabox’s loose leaf tea in an on-the-go option without compromising on flavour or freshness

Founded in 2012, Teabox works directly with an extensive network of growers across the country and Nepal to source over 150 different kinds of tea. The teas are plucked, processed and packaged within a week using Teabox’s proprietary cold chain process that ensures the freshest tea is delivered to your doorstep.

Teabox is also the first company in the beverage market to use the natural nitrogen flush process. How this works is that it creates a non-reactive environment to protect tea from oxygen, light, heat and moisture – which are all elements that compromise the integrity of tea and causes deterioration and loss of flavour.

Kaushal Dugar, founder and CEO of Teabox spoke about this new process, “Coming from a tea family and spending much of my childhood amongst tea estates, I grew up drinking some of the world’s best teas – so I know how fresh tea is meant to taste. At Teabox, we want to ensure that every cup of tea consumed is the freshest in the world, but we know that not everyone has time in their day to steep loose leaf. We created TeaPacs so that anyone can enjoy the world’s freshest tea, anywhere at anytime. It’s tea as it should be.”

What makes TeaPacs different from traditional tea bags is that the latter is filled with broken tea leaves and the packaging constrains the leaves, preventing them from reaching their flavour potential. TeaPacs, on the other hand, feature a pyramid-shaped bag that allows the tea leaves to unfurl resulting in a full-bodied flavour.

At the launch last month, Teabox debuted 18 varieties of TeaPacs – which is also the largest selection of loose leaf tea bags in the market – including traditional favourites like English Breakfast, Earl Grey and speciality blends like Masala Chai and Mountain Rose.

The TeaPacs are sold in boxes of 16 and priced at Rs. 240. Customers can also mix and match any three boxes of their favourite teas. You can buy your very own TeaPacs via their website.
