Only Tea, Coffee And Biscuits To Be Served In DGCA Employee Meetings

on

Only a few days back, Air India decided to stop serving non-vegetarian food to domestic economy class fliers. And now, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also adopted a similar approach for cost cutting.

Last month, a circular was issued by the finance section of DGCA that said, “Items like Haldiram Mixer, Poha, Meethi Dahi, Sambar Vada, Sandwich, Flavoured Milk, Juice, Bread and Butter are being served by the canteen in the official meetings.” It went on to say that due to acute shortage of funds these items can be avoided in the employee meeting.

That being said, the DGCA has now asked their staff to make a list of items that will be served during the official meetings. A senior official told The Hindu that currently tea and coffee are being served at these meetings along with biscuits.
