Taylor Swift Makes “Sizeable Donation” To Houston Food Bank For Hurricane Harvey Victims

on

Taylor Swift has been in the news for a plethora of reasons, from wiping her social media accounts clean and releasing a new chartbuster to making headlines for reportedly trademarking the phrases “look what you made me do” and “the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now” from her new hit single. However, overshadowing all of that is her charitable stint for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

Joining a long list of A-listers who have pitched in to do their bit for the Houston victims, the 27-year-old artist has also donated a “sizeable” amount of money to the Houston Food Bank. The food bank took to social media to appreciate Swift’s incentive. The wrote:

“Taylor Swift has generously made a very sizable donation to Houston Food Bank in honor of her mother who graduated from the University of Houston,” the facility wrote of the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer on Facebook on Friday, September 1. “We thank you, Taylor, and we thank everyone for donating to help rebuild our community. #houstonstrong.”

So far, celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Tyler Perry, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, and NFL player J.J. Watt have joined in to bring some relief to the people of Houston. And while there has been no confirmation from Taylor’s end, we don’t doubt the news one bit. After all, there is a reason the singer has found a fan in the Barefoot Contessa!
