In case ya’ll need some Monday motivation, BAR BAR, Bengaluru’s favorite wholesale pricing bar, is back with yet another killer food fest. When we got an invitation to get a sneak peek into the Kebab Festival, we were more than thrilled (it also gave us an opportunity to try those Bartender Bottles we love).
Tikka Look At These
We started off with the Dohra Kebabs; hailing from the Royal Kitchens of Rampur they were a mouth-watering melange of Mutton & Chicken Mince grilled to perfection. Seekh kebab lovers, this is seriously a dish you’ll need to try! If you don’t fancy mutton, you could try the Murgh Seekh Pudina Chutney for that ‘seekh’ feel, sans the mutton (don’t forget to pair with beer for the ultimate combo).
Next, we had the Jhinga Mehrunissa which was definitely our favorite of the night. Fresh, succulent prawns flavored with saffron, green chili, mace, and garnished with silver – what’s not to love? If you want to go down the traditional route, we also enjoyed the Gosht ke Seekh complete with the perfect blend of Awadhi spices.
Vegetarians, don’t worry, BAR BAR hasn’t left you out, they’ve got five brilliant vegetarian dishes for you to choose from. Of course, they’ve got the ubiquitous paneer kebab – except BAR BAR has not one, but two delicious paneer dishes to choose from; Paneer Balucchi Tikka, and Kastoori Paneer Tikka. Our favorite vegetarian kebab of the night was the Kashmiri Rajma Galavati – who knew the humble kidney bean could taste so good with pureed with spices?
Don’t forget, that at BAR BAR the more you drink the less you pay (except for MWP Monday’s)! So pair your kebabs with towers of draught beer or one of their delicious bartender bottles (we vouch for Fruit Loops). Hurry up and gather the gang, because Tandoor to Plate is only here for a limited amount of time!
