We all love Ramzan, Muslims and non-Muslims alike (mostly we like the food but still) and Frazer Town is the epicentre of all that delicious action. This Sunday take part of the first edition of the Ramzan Iftar walk organised by Bengaluru by Foot that will happen every Sunday for the rest of Ramzan, so if you miss out this time don’t lose hope!
Participants get to feast on a spread consisting of more than 12-14 different courses of Muslim cuisine from different parts of the country.
Some of the dishes available to taste on the Ramzan Iftar walk are Harira, Samosas, Brain puffs, Haleem, Kutt, Sheermal naan with chicken/mutton gravy, 2-3 types of biryani, desserts like egg pudding, khubani ka meetha, Shawarma rolls, Quail, sheekh kebabs, Double ka meetha, Khoya naan, Chauba puri and naan, Halwa puri, etc.
Some of the delicacies to be served will be home-made & are not available anywhere. The walk includes a behind the scenes visit to see how “Haleem” is prepared. In between all this food you get some great Sulaimani chai too.
In between bites you’ll also be able to get a few bytes of the local history as well as the tradition of Ramzan & fasting in Islam. You’ll get to enjoy the best Iftar experience without all the hassle so what are you waiting for!
According to the organisers, you’ll get the best experience if you fast the whole day, we can’t make any promises but we’ll try!
