The heat in the city gets intolerable coupled with humidity leading you to lose your appetite and eat lesser than your capacity. Fortunately, the restaurateurs seem to be making the best of the cooling ingredients that work best in the season and 145 Cafe and Bar is one of them. Not only their summer coolers get your appetite back but their, light, fresh delicacies on the summer special menu keeps you satiated. Here’s what we tried!
Beating The Heat
We started off with a refreshing Mango Razz Cooler on our visit to 145 Kala Ghoda and this surely cooled us down. Fresh fruits are crushed along with cardamom and finished with some soda. Chilled and peppy, this drink was quite refreshing. We tried some of their Spicy Red Hummus with Pita Bread and it was splendid; just the right thing to nibble on while chatting away on a hot afternoon.
Next came their TD Chicken Sliders with Chipotle Sauce and these were oh so good. The chicken was crispy and juicy all at the same time and we loved the soft charcoal bun too! What we enjoyed quite a bit was the DIY Chipotle Burrito Bowl all of which was made up of mostly raw ingredients. Bang on summery and really light to eat. We also simply couldn’t leave without trying their luscious Mango Cheesecake topped with pieces of fresh alphonso. This cake was polished off in minutes and we might just drop in to pick some up soon. All in all we were quite impressed with the summer menu at 145 Cafe and Bar and do recommend you try it out!
