Shrimp Scampi Bake Recipe

on

Scampi is a particular kind of meat that is usually extracted from shellfish, or crustaceans, especially the Norway lobster. Another popular crustacean that is used for making scampi is prawn or shrimps. The term ‘scampi’ is often construed as a style of preparation rather than an ingredient, which is why we frequently come across dishes named shrimp scampi, lobster scampi, and the likes.

The preparation of the meat varies from one country, region, and cuisine to another. It can be served fried in batter or breadcrumbs and usually with chips and tartar sauce; or in garlic butter and dry white wine, served either with bread, or over pasta or rice, although sometimes just the meat alone. The following recipe is a shrimp scampi bake, wherein the meat is baked along with a buttery mix of white wine, garlic, lemon juice, and parsley. Served on a bed of rice, it makes for an excellent meal. Follow this recipe to whip up a decadent shrimp scampi bake for New Year’s Eve!
