‘The Shining’ remade with Food is Scarily Awesome

on

Stanley Kubrick’s classic horror film, ‘The Shining’ was one of the scariest movies we have seen. Years later, it still manages to keep us awake at night. ‘The Shining’ is nearing its 35th anniversary of scaring the wits out of people and photographer Davide Luciano and food stylist Claudia Ficca decided to do something close to their hearts to celebrate the classic.

They have created a series of homages made out of food based on people and sets in the movie.

“I’m a big Stanley Kubrick fan,” Luciano told BuzzFeed Life. “Back in film school, he was the director I most idolized. But in our version of the story, The Overlook Maze is made with peas.”

“We imagined that if Jack had a meltdown in a kitchen, he would probably break out a rolling pin and go nuts making cherry pies.”

“And little Danny would be spelling out REDRUM in his alphabet soup.”

Remember the scary Grady Twins. Well, they are cupcakes!

“in the end Jack’s heart is found in an ice block in the pea maze.”

And of course, "in the end Jack's heart is found in an ice block in the pea maze."
