Say Hello to The Woods Jupiter: Tiger Woods $8M Restaurant Opens

on

Last week, the internet was buzzing about Tiger Wood’s new extravagant restaurant that was all set to open up this week. The restaurant named The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club has been attracting the attention of foodies in Jupiter, Florida.

Apart from the obvious star quality attached with Tiger Wood’s restaurant, The Woods Jupiter is also rumoured to be just one of those restaurants that went all out with its set up. Apparently, no expense was spared with marble directly flown in from Italy.

Well, we don’t expect anything else from golf sensation Tiger Woods, who also happened to be absent at the restaurant opening on Monday. Why? He’s off doing what he does best. Playing golf and is on his way to the PGA championship at Whistling Straits.

Even though the restaurant cost a staggering $8 million, Woods has aimed to create a family friendly place. “I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal”, Woods said in a statement. “I wanted to build it locally where I live and where it could help support the community.”

On its opening on Monday, the restaurant had 70 fans waiting in line to sample some of their gorgeous looking fare. One particular fan Karen Bush, drove nearly 40 miles north from Delray Beach with her friend Nancy Braun to be among the restaurant’s first guests. “We love going where the food’s good and the atmosphere is good, and this place has both,” she said.

Ir houses 5,900 square-feet and is a sleek and modern upscale sports bar with touches such as illuminated quartz bar and a U-shaped bar that is the restaurant’s focal point. It focuses on New American cuisine, hopes to be a family-friendly place with a “sophisticated dining experience” at the water’s edge. It also hopes to be a happy hour hangout with a special happy hour menu, cocktails, and local craft beer offerings from breweries such as Boynton Beach’s Due South Brewing and Tequesta Brewing Company.

Woods, who lives on a nearby Jupiter Island estate, also plans to make his worldwide headquarters next door to the restaurant, above Bravo! Cucina Italiana restaurant, according to sources at Harbourside Place, which has public and private docking space for boats. A spokeswoman says Woods may attend an official grand opening some time during the start of football season.
