Sanjeev Kapoor’s Yellow Chilli Is Drawing Curious Crowds In Santa Clara

India’s top celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor has stepped into the U.S. market with his Yellow Chilli restaurant being established in the Silicon Valley. Even after two months of its inauguration and a grand opening, locals continue to gather around here to get the first taste of his recipes.

This vibrant restaurant with its signature yellow booths and geometric design elements is usually crowded during the lunch hours with the techies of the Silicon Valley. During dinner time you can spot families and large groups flocking around well after 8 PM. The restaurant has chic designer chairs from the bar to the dining area along with padded booths topped by white screens that allow for easy cross booth conversation.

What’s On The Menu?

Signature entrees like Tariwala Murgh and Lalla Mussa Dal. The Biryani is served with a thin pastry covering it to keep the rice mixture moist and hot, you have to crack open the dish when it is served on the table.

Shaam Saveera, chef’s first dish on Khaana Khazaana has been dedicated an entire menu page. It’s basically cheese stuffed spinach koftas in a tomato gravy.

Coming to dessert, the most ordered dish is the Gulab-e-Gulkand.
