on

The Internet recently went bananas over TamilTelugu diva Samantha’s workout video. The clip, where she can be seen lifting a massive amount of weights, was shared on Facebook by Prabhu’s coach Kunal Gir.

“Samantha Ruth Prabhu deadlifting more than 100kgs ( 225lbs ) for 3 reps. Woman of Steel??,” writes coach Kunal Gir, while sharing the video on his Facebook page. And we dare not contest the 100-kilo lifting woman’s coach.

Looking at Samantha leaves us with no doubt that the actor likes to indulge in a fair share of rigorous workouts and strict diets. Here’s a quick look at her diet and exercise.

Diet

The actor is a smart eater and does not resort to extreme diets and fasts. Infact she digs into everything she fancies, only in controlled quantities.

In addition to a high protein diet, which compliments her regime well, the actor follows a paleo diet consisting of foods such as nuts, berries, veggie salads, fruits and lean meat. Samantha also loves her native staples like Rice-Sambar, dosa, vadai and the likes.28samantha-prabhu1

Exercise

An early riser, Prabhu is ‘obsessed’ with keeping fit and hits the gym habitually. According to her previous trainer, Dhayarajesh, the star took time out to exercise in between her busy schedule whenever possible.

Going by the recent video and a couple of earlier ones, it’s clear that Sam visits the weights section often. The Ye Maya Chesave actor usually does exercises that make her sweat out more as it detoxes her body and keeps her in good shape. The sweating also keeps her skin glowing.samantha-workouts

Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha was last seen in “Bangalore Naatkal”, which is the Tamil remake of the blockbuster Malayalam movie “Bangalore Days”.

The actor has a number of releases lined up ahead of her, including Vijay’s much-awaited filck “Theri,” Suriya’s “24,” Dhanush’s “Vada Chennai,” Mahesh Babu’s bilingual movie “Brahmotsavam” and Nithin’s “A…Aa”.

Binge eater by day and binge watcher by night, Ankita is fluent in food, film, and Internet. When she’s not obsessing over the hottest trends, tacos, and the perfect author’s bio, you can find her under a pile of Jeffery Archer’s novels or looking for the nearest wine shop.
