Christmas is around the corner and to ring in the festive season, Roseate House organised a cake mixing ceremony which was an extreme delight! A cake mixing ceremony usually involves mixing of all the cake ingredients by the guests and hotel staff themselves, giving this fun and exciting ritual a personal touch. We, of course, were super excited to be a part of it.
Anand Panwar, the Executive Pastry chef, told us that there were over 26 ingredients which included raisins, cashews, dried berries, figs, almonds, all sorts of nuts along with some whiskey to give it a boozy touch and also some spices like cardamom and cinnamon to name a few. The most interesting part was that this cake will be baked next year! The mixture is kept safely in the kitchen and mixed every month with a little addition of liquor each time.
