    Instructions
    1. Roast the raw mackerels on fire or live coal until it’s cooked. This can also be done by using a fry pan with a teaspoon of oil added.
    2. De-bone the fish
    3. Grind coconut, red chilies, turmeric and tamarind to a fine paste in a wet grinder.
    4. In a kadai add a teaspoon of oil, add the chopped onions, when golden brown add slit green chilies, then add the ground paste and fry for 5 minutes.
    5. Add the de boned mackerel pieces and mix gently. Add salt and cook for another 5 minutes
