Happy World Cake Day everyone and to those who don’t need a reason to chomp down a delicious cake, here’s a classic recipe of a delicious chocolate cake. It takes just an hour to make if you have all the right ingredients.

Instructions
  1. Begin by preheating the oven at 350°F and grease the cake mould with butter and then dust with flour.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. To this, add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
  4. Mix for two minutes with a hand blender on medium speed.
  5. Add in the boiling water and mix.
  6. Pour the batter into the cake mould and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes and check once with a toothpick if they are cooked through.
  7. Cool the cake first in the mould for ten minutes and then completely on a wire rack.
  8. Drizzle some chocolate glaze or sauce if you like some icing on the cake, garnish with cherries and serve.
