- 1 beaten egg
- 3/4 cup kasha (buckwheat groats)
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 chopped onions
- 1/2 lb bowtie pasta
- Salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions
- Set the oven on preheat at 325 degrees.
- Mix the kasha along with egg, salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into a skillet and toast it in the oven for about 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat some butter and add onions.
- Saute till caramelized.
- Once the kasha is toasted, adds chunks of it to three cups of salted boiling water.
- Give it a stir, reduce heat and let the kasha cook for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile boil the pasta in salted water till al dente.
- Give the kasha a stir with a fork and add to the pasta along with onions.
- Add butter, salt and pepper and mix.
- Garnish with parsley and serve.
