  1. Keep the oven on preheat at 375°F and line the cupcake moulds.
  2. Using a hand blender cream the butter and sugar till it turns smooth.
  3. Keep beating while adding one egg at a time.
  4. Now mix flour with baking soda and salt.
  5. Incorporate the flour mixture into the batter alternating with milk.
  6. Beat well with the help of the hand blender and at the end incorporate the vanilla essence.
  7. Pour the batter into cupcake moulds and bake for about 18 mins.
  8. Cool them in the moulds and arrange them on a plate.
  9. Cut off the mounds from the cake to make them flat.
  10. Make the icing by creaming the butter till fluffy.
  11. Beat in sugar followed by vanilla and color.
  12. Turn the cupcakes upside down on a doily for each and decorate with the icing.
