The BFG Frobscottle Recipe

on

One of my favourite childhood books is ‘The BFG’, by Roald Dahl which is filled with giants, a world of dreams and dream catchers and even a visit to The Queen of England! Most of the giants in the novel snack on children (yes, we’re totally serious), but the BFG (i.e the Big Friendly Giant) chooses to eat Snozzcumbers and drink Frobscottle. While the Snozzcumbers are wholly repulsive, Frobscottle is a different story altogether.

All About Frobscottle

Here’s an extract from the book about what frobscottle tastes like:

“Oh gosh, how delicious it was! It was sweet and refreshing. It tasted of vanilla and cream with just the faintest trace of raspberries on the edge of the flavour. And the bubbles were wonderful. Sophie could actually feel them bouncing and bursting all around her tummy. It was an amazing sensation.”

Sounds amazing doesn’t it? Here’s a recipe to make your own; serve it with breakfast, lunch or dinner or simply have it between meals!
