The Avengers Groot’s Salad Recipe

In one scene where the Star Lord is presiding over a meeting with The Guardians of the Galaxy, he realises that the only person agreeing with him is Groot. And right at this moment Groot eats a leaf growing on his own wooden self! The Star Lord realises he’s amongst a quirky lot of people and it turns out to be a hilarious scene.

As the Guardians of the Galaxy feature in The Avengers: Infinity War (no spoilers) we sure loved Groot in the movie and just can’t have enough of the little one now! So, here’s a sumptuous salad dedicated to him!

• 4 cups chopped kale leaves
• 3 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
• 4 Chopped Carrots
• 1 chopped green apple
• 1 Diced avocado
• 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
• 1 clove crushed garlic
• 1 tsp honey
• salt to taste
• pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, toss the kale, cabbage, carrots, apple and avocado.
2. In another bowl mix oil, vinegar, garlic, honey, salt and pepper till well combined.
3. Now pour the dressing over the kale mix and toss the salad well before serving.
