Tater Tots Nachos Recipe

on

Love snacking on deep-fried mini bites? If yes, then you must have often munched on Tater Tots. Yes, the deliciously unhealthy yet irresistible golden fried bite-sized pieces of potato. And do you love nachos? Of course, you do! More specifically do you relish towering nacho platters that come loaded with veggies, cheese, beans, chilies, and the works? If you’re frantically nodding your head right now (and holding back a drool storm like us), then the Tater Tots Nachos is just what you need to be eating this weekend!

As the name suggests, the dish is a blend of tater tots and loaded nachos where the platter ingredients remain while tater tots replace the nachos, a.k.a Frankenstein’s favorite Tex Mex snack. Are you already dreaming of this heavenly snack platter? Then follow the instructions below to whip up a gorgeous Tater Tots Nachos platter!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  2. Arrange potato nuggets in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake potato nuggets in the preheated oven until golden and heated through, 24 to 26 minutes.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Stir water and taco seasoning mix into beef; cook and stir until liquid is thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Pour cheese sauce into a microwave-safe bowl; heat in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir. Continue heating in 15-second intervals until hot, stirring between intervals.
  6. Spread potato nuggets on a serving plate. Top with meat, cheese sauce, sour cream, onion, and jalapeno slices.
