Frozen Chocolate Recipe
One of our favourite romantic movies is Serendipity, a film which stars John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. The two begin their romantic journey at ‘Serendipity’ a famous cafe in New York. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we thought we’d share a recipe for one of Serendipity’s most popular dishes; Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. Rumour has it that First Lady Jackie Kennedy’s request for the recipe was politely declined by Serendipity’s Chef. However, the restaurant shared the recipe later in an official cookbook; whip this up and share it with your Valentine!

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over simmering water.
  2. As it melts, stir in the hot chocolate mix and sugar.
  3. Take from the heat and pour in half cup of the milk, stirring until smooth.
  4. Allow to cool.
  5. Blend the mixture, the remaining milk and the ice together until frozen.
  6. Pour into a goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
  7. Serve.
