    1. Take both the flours in a mixing bowl along with sesame seeds, crushed cumin, chilli powder, turmeric, asafoetida and salt.
    2. Mix it all up and then add hot oil and mix it again.
    3. Crumble the mixture using your hands and begin kneading the dough by adding small amounts of water.
    4. The dough should be smooth and not sticky.
    5. Shape the dough in the form of ribbons using a mold or by flattening them out and then cutting them with a knife.
    6. Fry the ribbons in hot oil till they turn golden brown and drain the excess oil.
    7. Store in a airtight jar when not in use.
