Mutton Pasanday Recipe

A traditional recipe, the mutton is cooked in a spicy gravy made with yoghurt, cream, tomatoes and various spices, it is derived from a meal served in the court of the Mughal emperors.

Instructions
  1. In the mixing bowl, mix and marinate the mutton with first 9 ingredients. Keep it aside for 4-5 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, and add the cardamoms, cloves and cinnamon. Add onions and sauté it well.
  3. After the onions turn light brown. Add the mutton and cook uncovered , till the water has completely dried off. If the meat has not been cooked yet, add more water, and cook it for some more time.
  4. Add the tomatoes and puree, and sauté it well.
  5. Add half of the almonds.
  6. To make gravy, add a little water and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish it with remaining almonds, cream and coriander leaves.
