  1. Cook the banana and yam in water. Add the turmeric and salt. Cook until the vegetables turn soft.
  2. Grind grated cocont, cumin seeds, pepper, garlic and pepper corns into a semi paste.
  3. Now, to a pan, add the cooked vegetables, channa and the above paste . Saute it till the smell of coconut fades.
  4. In another pan, heat the coconut oil, pop the mustards. Once its done popping, add the curry leaves and the red chili.
  5. Dry roast coconut until it turns reddish brown.
  6. Now, add the above two to the cooked vegetables and mix it well. Make sure that you add sufficient water and salt when required.
