Muthia Recipe (Hindi)
Yet another popular Gujarati snack, muthia gets its name from the way that it is shaped, that is, using fists (fist translates to mutthi in Hindi). The dry snack is made with either steaming or deep-frying chickpea dough that is mildly spiced and mixed with fenugreek leaves (methi muthia) or gourd or lauki (dudhi muthia). The fried muthia is often used to put in curries, while the steamed variant can be eaten as a snack or even breakfast. The recipe below is that of a classic steamed dudhi muthia. So get ready to add a Gujarati twist to your meal!
