Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

Also referred to as (fried) mozzarella sticks, these deep-fried golden bad boys are the ultimate lazy day snack. Of course, you’ll have to prep a little before you veg out on your couch with a platter full of these fritters. But it’s all very easy to whip up. All you need is mozzarella, flour, eggs, and some Italian breadcrumbs to add that extra crispy and crunchy texture to the outside.

These fritters are best served with a tomato-based sauce like ketchup, marinara, or even some zest fresh salsa! Follow the recipe below to spice up your game night festivities with these cheesy mozzarella fritters.

Instructions
  1. Whisk eggs and milk together. Coat each piece of cheese with flour, then dip in egg and then roll in breadcrumbs. Dip in whisked egg and then in the crumbs again.
  2. Freeze before frying.
  3. Heat oil in skillet and cook sticks for about a minute on each side, or until golden and before cheese starts to leak.
  4. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve with sauce for dipping.
