Mother’s Day Breakfast In Bed French Toast Recipe

on

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and you should be thinking about pulling out all the stops to pamper your mother. We think the perfect way to start the day is with breakfast in bed for her, which is why, over the next few days we’ll be sharing a couple of breakfast in bed recipes that you can try this Sunday.

French Toast

French toast is one of the most popular breakfasts around, so it’s almost guaranteed your mother will enjoy a plate of it.

The dish is also known as eggy bread or German toast and is made by soaking bread in a mixture of eggs and then frying the bread, giving it a crisp outer layer and a soft inner layer. To make French toast, many chefs recommend using day old bread as it better soaks up the egg mixture.

To elevate your French toast even further, place a stack of it on a pretty plate and top it with syrup, whipped cream, jelly, jam or fresh fruits. Serve the toast on a tray with a side of tea and a glass of orange juice – your mom will start her day with a smile on her face when she sees it!
