Lord Of The Rings Lembas Bread Recipe

on

If you’re part of the ever growing Lord of the Rings cult, there’s no way you don’t know about Lembas or Elven bread.

The Background

Known as Lembas, Elven Bread or Waybread, the recipe for this bread has been passed down through Elven history in the house of the High Elves.

When they leave from Lothlorien, Galadriel gives the Fellowship of the Ring a store of the bread. As they travel from Anduin River to Mordor, Frodo and Sam greatly rely on the stock of the bread.

The Bread

Wrapped in mallon leaves, the bread can stay fresh for months. It’s yellow on the outside and has a cream center.

It’s incredibly nourishing and sustaining to creatures of good and can give them bursts of energy when they feel completely drained. However, creatures corrupted by evil will be revolted by it.
