The good old masala chai with pakode is mostly everyone’s favourite in India. The freshly brewed cuppa spiced with a handful of spices is simply bliss and the perfect way to start the day. Celebrate International Tea Day with masala chai.

Instructions
  1. Crush the whole spices in a mortar pestle and while doing so keep the water on medium heat.
  2. Once the spices are crushed add them to the saucepan in which the water is heating up.
  3. Let the water steam a bit and then add pepper and ginger to it and remove the pan from the heat and let the spices steep for five minutes.
  4. Place the saucepan on the heat and add milk and sugar and let the water boil.
  5. As soon as the water boils add the tea leaves, cover the pan and steep for another 3 minutes.
  6. Strain the chai and serve hot.
