Upma with Leftover Idli
Idli upma recipe – A good way to use up leftover Idlis.

Instructions
  1. Crumble the refrigerated idlis. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and allow cumin and mustard to crackle.
  3. Add dals, peanuts and fry until the peanuts are golden.
  4. Add onions, curry leaves, green chilies and ginger.
  5. Saute just for 1 to 2 mins until the onions turn slightly pale.
  6. Sprinkle 1 table spoon water and add turmeric and hing.
  7. Add the crumbled idlis, coconut and coriander leaves. Mix everything well.
  8. Lower the flame and cook covered until the crumbled idlis turn hot.
  9. Adjust salt as needed.
  10. Serve idli upma hot.
