  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, cream and rum and bring to a simmer over moderate heat.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate and let it melt.
  3. Whisk until smooth and pour into warmed mugs.
  4. Top the hot chocolate with whipped cream.
  5. Serve.
