The Help Chocolate Pie Recipe

on

What scene do you remember best from the movie ‘The Help‘? We’ll bet that scene with Minny’s chocolate pie is right at the top of your list – it has a tremendous amount of shock and ick value:

Are you still with us? We can’t claim that we want a slice of that particular pie. However, you have to admit that before you knew what was in the pie, it looked pretty darn delicious, didn’t it? That’s why, to ward off those ugly Monday blues we’re sharing a chocolate pie recipe inspired by The Help. Without a certain ingredient, of course.

Pie Ahoy!

There are a variety of ways to make chocolate pie; it can have a graham cracker crust, a cookies crust, a pastry crust; be reduced fat or full fat and topped with whipped cream, strawberries, cherries or even chocolate syrup to name a few.

For this pie, we’ve used a pre-packaged crust, cocoa powder, a hint of vanilla and lots of sugar.

Serve the pie as a dessert to any meal or enjoy a slice during tea time.
