Ingredients: 3 tbsp unsalted butter; 3 cloves garlic (minced); 1 medium yellow onion (minced); 1/4 cup brandy; 2 tbsp flour; 1 3/4 cup heavy cream; 1 pound lobster meat; 1/8 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated); salt and pepper; 1 package puff pastry; 1 egg (beaten )

Lobster Pot Pie

In Gilmore Girls, Sookie whips up a lobster pot pie for Emily’s dinner party. Here’s a recipe.

Ingredients

3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic minced
1 medium yellow onion minced
1/4 cup brandy
2 tbsp flour
1 3/4 cup heavy cream
1 pound lobster meat
1/8 tsp nutmeg freshly grated
salt and pepper
1 package puff pastry
1 egg beaten

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425F.
Melt the butter and add the onion and garlic.
Sauté until golden.
Stir in the brandy and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the flour and cook for two minutes. Add the cream and bring to boil.
Add the lobster, nutmeg, salt and butter.
Pour the lobster mixture into separate pot pie pans and top with the pastry. Brush with the eggs.
Bake until golden for 20-25 minutes.
