Take out the pulp from the custard apples, discarding the seeds and refrigerate.
Put the roasted green gram along with the water in a pressure cooker on a medium flame.
Cook till the pressure cooker lets out three whistles.
Melt the jaggery in a pan and add the cardamom powder.
Now add the green gram, fruit pulp and mix well.
Add coconut milk, give it a good stir and bring the mixture to a boil.
Once you reach the desired consistency, serve the kheer and garnish with almonds and pistachio flakes.
