His books are littered with references to food, especially chocolate – not surprising considering his personal weakness for it. Today, we’re share a recipe from Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes for Butterscotch which makes its appearance in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Instructions
  1. Melt together the butter, sugar and corn syrup over low heat stirring constantly.
  2. Add 1/4 cup milk and then remove.
  3. Whisk in a few more tablespoons of milk and then whisk in the yogurt.
  4. Add the rest of the milk and allow the mixture to cool.
  5. Chill and then serve.
