Apple dumplings is the perfect way to enjoy the goodness of the apples in a decadent way. The apples are stuffed inside biscuit dough and baked to bring out the unique flavours. The addition of the creamy butter sauce takes this dessert recipe up a notch.

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C
  2. Coat a 7x11 inch baking pan with butter
  3. Divide the biscuit into 8 equal pieces
  4. Shape and flatten the dough into a circle
  5. Place each apple half on top of the dough and wrap it
  6. Place the apple dough, seam side down, in the pan
  7. Combine sugar, water, melted butter and vanilla in a small bowl
  8. Pour this mixture on top of the dumplings
  9. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top of the dumplings
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the dumplings turn golden in color
  11. Serve hot with a scoop of ice-cream of your choice (optional)
